Simdega: Deputy Commissioner Kanchan Singh conducted a review of the Social Welfare Department on Monday. The meeting was attended by Sub-Divisional Development Commissioner Deepankar Chaudhary, District Social Welfare Officer, Child Development Project Officer, and all female supervisors.
During the review, several schemes were discussed. Under the Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana, 98 applications have been approved against a target of 173 for the financial year. The Deputy Commissioner directed that the remaining target be completed within one month. For the Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana, officials were instructed to select beneficiaries and ensure timely payments according to the set targets.
For the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, all Anganwadi centres are to conduct centre-wise surveys and finalise beneficiary selection within a month. Under the Supplementary Nutrition Programme, all projects were directed to submit records for August 2025 to the district office within a week to enable timely disbursement.
Regarding the Nutrition Campaign Programme, officials were instructed to ensure 100% FRS entry for all beneficiaries. The meeting also reviewed the status of existing Anganwadi centres, construction of new centres, and facilities such as drinking water and toilets.
