Ranchi – The BJP on Thursday organized protests across Jharkhand demanding a CBI investigation into the alleged encounter of tribal leader Surya Hansda.
In Ranchi, party chief Babulal Marandi led a march accusing Godda police of killing Hansda in custody and staging it as an encounter. “Only a CBI probe can bring justice,” he said.
The party also opposed the planned RIMS-II hospital at Nagdi, claiming fertile land was being seized illegally. BJP leaders, including C.P. Singh and Aditya Sahu, charged the Hemant Soren government with betraying tribal rights. Demonstrations were held simultaneously in multiple districts.
