Ensure that the beneficiaries get the benefits of the schemes run by the government on time – Minister Joba Manjhi

Ranchi: Women, Child Development and Social Security Minister Joba Manjhi has instructed the concerned officers that every possible effort should be made to ensure that the beneficiaries get the benefits of the schemes run
by the government on time. 

Along with this, prompt execution of problems and complaints coming in the implementation of the schemes. She was giving directions to the office bearers in the review meeting of departmental schemes. Joba Manjhi inaugurated the department’s first e-magazine “Poshan Dhara” edited with the technical support of the department and UNICEF. The objective of the magazine is to publish through this magazine the
success of efforts to bring out malnourished women and children from remote and inaccessible areas of Jharkhand.

This magazine is an attempt to provide a common platform to the workers, associates, beneficiaries, adolescent girls and children working in the field. Along with this, Jharkhand has to be made malnutrition free by making people more and more aware about nutrition. In the meeting, the minister felicitated East Singhbhum district, which got the first position in the Nutrition Fortnight organized in March 2022, and Gumla district, which got the first position in the Nutrition Month organized in September 2022, with a citation.

She encouraged all the districts to participate in Nutrition Fortnight and Nutrition Month to be organized in the year 2023. In the meeting, Joba Manjhi discussed important schemes run by the department, such as salary under ICC, contract allowance, honorarium and payment of house rent, progress in the selection of maids and assistants in Anganwadi centers, operation of the supplementary nutrition program in Anganwadi centers, Implementation of Savitri Bai Phule Kishori Samridhi Yojana, construction status of Anganwadi centers buildings, electricity, handpumps, toilets, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, Chief Minister Lakshmi Ladli Yojana, Chief Minister Kanyadan Yojana, social evil prevention scheme, old age home, deaf and dumb school, Nari Niketan, Tejaswini Scheme, Skill Training, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, One Stop Center, Ujjwala Scheme, Women Helpline 181, Working Women’s Hostel Scheme, Mission Vatsalya were also reviewed.

Secretary, Women Child Development and Social Security Department Kripanand Jha, Director, Social Welfare Chhavi Ranjan, Director, Jharkhand State Child Protection Institute Rajeshwari B and others were present in the meeting.
