Maoists set JCB on fire in Ranchi

Ranchi: Suspected ultras belonging to the CPI Maoists set on fire a JCB machine involved in a railway project under the Mccluskieganj Police Station area of this district. 

Police said that the incident took place near Chatinadi. Police said that a group of ultra reached the spot where railway expansion work is being done by a private company.

However, since it was raining heavily the fire did not spread much. Police received information about the incident on Monday morning after which a team reached the spot.

The ultras also thrashed the guards working on the spot. Police quoting the guards said that for the want of levy the Maoists had executed the incident.

Police said that due to the rain only the cabin of the JCB got burnt while other parts of the machine got saved.
