Ranchi: On the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister of the country Lal Bahadur Shastri State President and MP Deepak Prakash and Leader of Legislature Party and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi garlanded the life-size statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Tiril Ashram and paid their tributes.
They also used a charkha at Tiril Ashram and also bought Khadi clothes at Khadi Village Industries Store located on Ratu Road. Deepak Prakash also paid tribute to the life-size statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Morhabadi.
On the said occasion he said that Mahatma Gandhi was not a person but an ideology. He not only led the freedom struggle of the country but also worked to give a message to the whole world that how to fight against violence with non-violence and showed that victory can be achieved by walking on the road.
He said that Mahatma Gandhi had started the Swadeshi movement and it was his dream that India should adopt Swadeshi and he is very happy that the Prime Minister of the country Narendra Modi is determined to promote Swadeshi. Today, under the leadership of PM India Aatm Nirbhar Bharat scheme is being made successful in the country and countrymen are using indigenous items more.
BJP Legislature Party leader cum former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi also visited Morhabadi and paid tribute to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi. He said that Gandhiji used to say that the soul of India resides in the village so there is a need to develop the villages. If there will be a development of the village then automatically the development of the city and the country will happen he added.
Marandi said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister of the country Narendra Modi the central government is fulfilling the dreams of Mahatma Gandhi. He said today more attention is being paid to the development of villages in the country road, school, college and hospital are being constructed to provide basic facilities in the village and modern facilities like the internet are being provided in the village. He said that today is the time that all should not only read Mahatma Gandhi but also implement his principles in their lives. Marandi said that Mahatma Gandhi’s fight was also against corruption.
