Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren directed to prepare a database of the forest and agriculture produce which are produced in different areas of the state. Chairing the first meeting of the Board of Directors of Sidho-Kanho Agriculture and Forest Produce State Co-operative Federation Ltd in his official chamber located in the Assembly he directed the officials to prepare a mechanisms for value addition and marketing of these produce according to the database.
He also asked them to prepare an action plan by coordinating with the institutions related to forest produce and agricultural produce. In the meeting, the Chief Minister has also directed the officials of Sidho-Kanho Agriculture and Forest Produce State Cooperative Federation Ltd to set up a skill development center for capacity development of forest produce and agricultural produce.
He directed the officials to appoint manpower soon for timely execution of various works and activities of Sidho-Kanho Agriculture and Forest Produce State Cooperative Federation Ltd and the federation should ensure that the collection, marketing and processing of forest produce produced in the forest areas of the state can be done in a better way.
The Chief Minister directed the officials to constitute a committee for the determination of the State Procurement and Marketing Policy and a committee for the determination of the State Credit Linkage Policy. In the meeting, the registered bye-law of the Sidho-Kanho Agriculture and Forest Produce State Cooperative Federation Ltd. was adopted.
Some other important proposals were also discussed in the meeting. Agriculture Minister Badal, Additional Chief Secretary L Khiyangate, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Rajiv Arun Ekka, Secretary to Chief Minister Vinay Kumar Choubey, etc were
present on the occasion.
