Jharkhand govt approves 15 road projects

Ranchi Aug 30: The state government on Thursday approved a total of 15 road projects spread across different parts of the state.
A decision in this regard was taken in meeting of the state cabinet which was chaired by Chief Minister Raghubar Das at the project building here.
These road projects are spread across Khunti Ranchi Simdega Ramgarh Deoghar Palamu Koderma Giridih Garhwa and Latehar districts.

It was decided that an area of 0.73 acres of land will be handed over to the Union Railway Ministry at a payment of Rs 18.62 lakh for railway line expansion. The cabinet also decided to do away with time limit for construction of the railway over crossing and approach road in the larger interest of the state and the people. The government also decided to absorb 23 employees in the district provident fund office post the bifurcation of Bihar and decided to include them in government service and provide them with pension and other retirement benefits. It was also decided to constitute a total of 23 posts for e-court project in the state. In another key decision it was decided to award the status of Nagar Parishad to Gomia by combining 8 revenue villages.

The cabinet also gave an approval to use MLA funds for other purposes which was sanctioned for toilet construction. The government also decided to merge Ashtlohi Karmakar caste in OBC list 2 with Sonar while Kumhar will be merged with Prajapati and kept in list 1 of the OBC. The government gave nod to constitute 4 posts to run the newly constructed Ranchi Yog Bhawan.
