Ranchi : Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Friday said that Jharkhand is a land of great men, bravehearts and martyrs.
The Chief Minister paid his tributes to Veer Shaheed Sheikh Bhikhari and Tikait Umrao Singh on their 163rd martyrdoom day. He offered his floral tributes on the portrait of these great men and said that their sacrifice can never be forgotten.
He said that it was the responsibility of all to make sure that their sacrifice, morale and dedication should not go in vain. He said that Shaheed Sheikh Bhikhari and Tikait Umrao Singh had played an important role in the Independence of the country and durin the revolt of 1857 gave a tough fight to the British.
Hemant Soren said that by following the ideals, dedication and path shown by them a strong society, state and country can be made.
