Government approves new rules for JPSC: 15 times more candidates to sit in mains exams

Ranchi: The Jharkhand Government has approved the rules for Jharkhand Combined Civil Services Examination 2020-21 which will be implemented in the next exam.

As per the new rules on the basis of Prelims Exam (PT) for the mains examination 15 times candidates would be selected and this cut off would be for the students of unreserved category.

As per the new rules if in the category of unreserved candidates as per the fixed cut off 15 times candidates are not selected then the cut off marks will be reduced. For SC/ST and OBC students the reduction can be upto 8 percent.

So far in the state as per the rules of 1951 JPSC exams are conducted and as per time and need the government makes necessary amendments. To sort out the issue of disputes attached with all JPSC exams a high level committee headed by the development commissioner was formed and on the basis of the recommendations of the committee the rules have been framed. The other members included Finance Commissioner and Secretary Personnel Department.

For service location the final merit list will be prepared on the basis of PT, Mains and Interview. Here also for candidates of unreserved category cut off marks will be set.
