Jharkhand CM gets invitation for Harvard University to address the 18th Annual India Conference

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister has received an invitation from the prestigious Harvard University to deliver the 18th Annual India Conference at Harvard University to be held on February 19-21 at Cambridge, Massachusetts.

An official press release issued here on Saturday said that the Chief Minister has accepted the invitation and thanked the organisers. He will speak on tribal rights, sustainable development and welfare policies in Jharkhand.

India Conference is the largest student run conference in North America focussing on India and of the world’s leading forum for dialogue, debate and networking around issues pertaining to contemporary India.

India Conference attracts over 1000 people from academia, industry, business leaders, policy makers and government. The conference has a reach of over five million people through social media channels and have general active engagement of over three million social media users.

This time the organisers are hoping to have a Chief Minister’s panel (virtually) to discuss the issue of governance, state centre relations, the impressive handling of Covid-19 pandemic and the intersection of how caste and tribal identities inform current policies.
