Coronavirus tally reaches 1,11,510 as 144 cases found on Sunday

Ranchi: The Coronavirus tally in the state on Sunday reached 1,11,510 as 144 cases of Covid-19 were detected across 18 districts of  Jharkhand.

During the day 4 deaths were reported including 2 from Dhanbad and 1 each from Pakur and Palamu district as a result of which the overall death count has reached 999. The mortality rate among the patients currently stands at 0.89 percent.

As per the information provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state was 1,571 while a number of cured and discharged cases stood at 1,08,940. The total number of death caused by Coronavirus in the state stood at 999.

On Sunday a maximum number of 76 cases were found in Ranchi followed by 19 in East Singhbhum, 7 in Dhanbad, 7 in Hazaribagh and 5 in Bokaro (top five districts).

A total of number of 179 people were also cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid-19 facilities during the day including 84 from Ranchi, 20 from Bokaro, 15 from East Singhbhum, 14 from Dhanbad and 7 from West Singhbhum district.

Despite the rampant rise in Coronavirus cases across the state the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has improved significantly and has once gone above 97 percent mark to currently stand at 97.58 percent in Jharkhand.

So far in the state 45,11,050 samples have been collected out of which 44,96,879 have been tested and 43,85,369 have turned out to be negative.
