Along with celebrations, time to ponder over flaws: Guv

Ranchi: Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu on Sunday paid her tributes to the great martyrs and sons of the state on the occasion of 20th-anniversary celebrations of the state assembly.

Speaking during the function organised at the Vidhan Sabha premises here she said she was extremely happy on his occasion-however apart from celebrations there a need to think about the flaws and where the state has lagged behind.

The Governor said that people have huge expectations from the assembly as they review the development works. She said that in the last 20 years many development works have taken place in the state and asked the legislators to rise above political affiliations as people elect their representatives with huge expectations. She said that the members of the assembly should always remember that they have been given the responsibility of development.

Speaking on the occasion Jharkhand Assembly Speaker Ravindranath Mahto said that since the occasion was 20th anniversary celebrations of the Vidhan Sabha therefore there was a need to ponder as to how sucessful the stakeholders have been in keeping alive the parameters and morals of the Vidhansabha.

He said that as the biggest panchayat in the state the Vidhan Sabha has played a very important role in the development of the state and hoped that the present leadership would be successful in fulfilling the aspirations of the people.

On the occasion, the speaker felicitated the topper of matric Manish Kumar Katiyar, Intermediate Science Topper Amit Kumar, Arts Topper Nandita Halpal and Commerce Topper Shubham Kumar Thakur and Rupa Kumari.

The Governor, Speaker and Chief Minister also felicitated the kin of the martyrs including those belonging to the state police, home guards and army personnel.

As Corona warriors Vijay Bihari Prasad, Akhilesh Kumar Sinha and other were also felicitated during the function.
