Ranchi: Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu and Chief Minister Hemant Soren will on Sunday attend a function which will be held in the Vidhansabha premises to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Jharkhand Assembly.
During the function, Governor Draupadi Murmi would be felicitating seven times JMM MLA from Shikaripada Nalin Soren as the best MLA for the year 2020. As part of the award, he would be given a cheque of Rs 51,000, shawl and certificate.
Apart from him four other staff of the Vidhan Sabha including joint secretary Somen Kumar Singh, branch officer Laxmi Muchwa, Manoj Kumar and Helena Kandola would be felicitated as the best employees of the Vidhansabha for the year 2020 and would be given the late Kapileshwar Award.
Further Ranchi Civil Surgeon BB Prasad, ADM Law and Order Akhilesh Kumar Singh and head nurse of RIMS Ram Rekha Rai would be felicitated for their exemplary work amid the Corona crisis.
During the function, the toppers of Intermediate and Matric would also be felicitated while kin of the army jawans who were martyred at the border and those of the state police who made the supreme sacrifice with taking on the maoists would also be felicitated.
