Coronavirus tally reaches 1,07,332 as 175 cases found on Saturday across 18 districts of state

Ranchi: The Coronavirus tally in the state on Saturday reached 1,07,332 as 175 cases of Covid-19 were detected across 18 districts of Jharkhand.

During the day 6 deaths were reported including 2 from Ranchi and 1 each from Godda, Hazaribagh, Jamtara and East Singhbhum as a result of which the overall death count has reached 945. The mortality rate among the patients currently stands at 0.88 percent.

As per the information provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state was 2,420 while the number of cured and discharged cases stood at 1,03,957. The total number of death caused by Coronavirus in the state stood at 945.

On Saturday a maximum number of 59 cases were found in Ranchi followed by 28 in East Singhbhum, 25 in Bokaro, 23 in Dhanbad and 8 in Ramgarh (top five districts). During the day no cases were found in Chatra, Hazaribagh, Latehar, Lohardaga, Pakur and Sahebganj districts.

A total of number of 333 people were also cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid-19 facilities during the day including 171 from Ranch, 40 from Dhanbad, 38 from East Singhbhum, 15 from Bokaro and 10 each from Saraikela, Pakur and Palamu districts.

Despite the rampant rise in Coronavirus cases across the state the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has improved significantly and has once gone above 96 percent mark to currently stand at 96.85 percent in Jharkhand.

So far in the state 39,08,277 samples have been collected out of which 38,95,808 have been tested and 37,88,476 have turned out to be negative.
