Role of corrupt and middlemen to be wiped out from lower level of governance: Raghubar

Latehar, Aug 13: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das Sunday  said that
by weeding out the corrupt and the middle men from the panchayat level
of administration the dream of Gram Swaraj can only be realised for
which the government has appointed panchayat volunteers at the
panchayat secretariats.

Participating in the ‘sarkar Aapke Dwar’ (Government at your door
programme at Saryu village of this district he said that the panchayat
volunteers have been given the responsibility of getting made the
caste, income and residential certificates and also delivering it at
the home of the applicant.

He said that in 16000 village youth as panchayat volunteers are
workimg so that the people do not have to run after the block offices
to get their certificates made. He said that the panchayat volunteers
would take the help of the villagers in this task and also asked the
villagers to cooperate with them. He said that apart from certificates
they would also be selecting the youth to undergo skill development
training and under the scheme of the government 100 youth from every
panchayat would be trained and linked with jobs. Mr Das to monitor the
functioning of the volunteers that panchayat self governance council
has been formed.
