Raghubar assures house the legislation proposing amendments in CNT/SPT acts set aside

Ranchi, Aug 10: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that the question surrounding the legislation proposing amendments in the CNT and SPT Acts are now over therefore the opposition need not create an issue over the matter.

 

On the third day of the Monsoon Session of the Jharkhand Assembly Mr Das said that the Governor had sent the bill for reconsideration to the house and if the government was willing to re introduce the bill than only the question of discussion over the bill would have been necessary. He said that a confusion was created over the amendment legislation therefore it was taken up in the meeting of the TAC in which numerous suggestions have been received.

 

Mr Das said that post the meeting of the TAC a decision in this regard was taken in the cabinet which is known to everyone therefore all controversies regarding the bill have now been put to rest. Earlier as soon as the house assembled for the day Leader of Opposition Hemant Soren said quoting Parliamentary Affairs Minister Saryu Rai said that the minister has said in the press that the amendment legislation in the CNT and SPT Acts has been withdrawn over which people across the state were celebrating.
