Dumka: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Sunday accused the BJP of encouraging horse-trading in the state and alleged that with the use of money power BJP was trying to murder democracy.
Addressing a press conference at his residence here on the last day of campaigning for Dumka and Bermo bypolls he said BJP has nothing to do with elections. When asked as to how many UPA MLAs are in touch with the BJP he asked as to whether they (BJP) have opened a shop. He said that for such kind of statements the fir has been registered against state BJP chief Deepak Prakash so that the truth behind his claims that the present government will fall in three months can come out in open.
He said that after the bypolls his focus would be on taking the state out of the Corona crisis and take it further on the path of development. Hemant said that as per the response received so far both seats would be won by the Mahagathbandhan.
Over the dynasty politics, he said that BJP talks about tribals and non-tribals and dynasty politics. He asked answers from the media to tell how many MLAs out of 30 which the JMM has are related to families, on the other hand, the BJP has a long list of such MLAs.
When asked as to whether the State BJP chief would be arrested he said that his party has a large heart. He said that previously also a case against Raghubar Das was withdrawn and he has no time to think over such small things but if someone would try to disturb the government then action as per law would be taken.
The Chief Minister said that soon the government would take steps to set up Industries for which land is needed. He said that after taking Gram Sabha into confidence land would be acquired for industries as CNT and SPT acts are in place.
Over the scholarship scam under the tenure of former minister Louis Marandi he said that the matter has come into his notice and the Chief Secretary has been instructed to conduct a probe and soon action against guilty would be taken.
Attacking the Centre he said that BJP says something inside the parliament and does something else outside. He said that Railways Minister Piyush Goyal says privatization of railways would not be done but at present is being sold in the market and anyone was free to buy it.
