Working to minimise the gap between government and governed: Raghubar

Chaibasa, Aug 6: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that his government was working to reduce the gap between the people and the administration and was also taking steps to weed out corruption and middlemen from the state.

 

Addressing the ‘Sarkar Apke Dwar’ (Government at your door) programme at Hudgada village of Bandgaon block of Chaibasa he said that to end the role of middlemen and prevent the exploitation of the people this programme has been launched by the state government.

 

He said that now the panchayat volunteers would be visiting the villages for getting the caste and residential certificates, distributing of LED bulbs, distribution of slips for building toilets and other works. He said that the work would be taken up as a special campaign from August to October. On the occasion the Chief Minister himself made sure that the girls filled up the caste certificate, residential and income certificate forms.

 

The Chief Minister also extended greetings to the people on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. He said that the festival depicted love and was an example of the social harmony of the Indian culture. He said that his government has taken a pledge to remove poverty from the state and said that he has taken a pledge to bring changes in the lives of the people.

 

The Chief Minister said that to ensure that the schemes are framed for the poor and the benefits reach to them a panchayati raj self government council would be formed and within a week in 18 blocks of the districts block and district coordinators would be appointed. He said that the block coordinators would look after the schemes for the block while the district coordinator would do the same for the districts.
