CM meets ailing Education Minister Jaggarnath Mahto at hospital, says condition better but breathing difficulties remain

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Saturday met ailing education minister Jaggarnath Mahto currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the capital.

The Chief Minister along with Health Minister Banna Gupta reached Medica Hospital where he met Mahto who has been admitted at the hospital after testing positive for Coronavirus.

After meeting his cabinet colleague Hemant Soren said that for the last 10 days Jaggarnath Mahto is undergoing treatment as he has been detected positive for Coronavirus. He said that he also spoke with the doctors looking after his conditions.

The Chief Minister said that the doctors are continuously monitoring his health. He said that the minister has breathing difficulties but his condition has improved as he was talking and also reading newspapers.

Hemant Soren said that on two-three occasions attempt was made to take him outside for treatment but the doctors advised against it. He said that the treatment which would have done outside is being provided here.

However as the condition of the Education Minister has failed to improve, Health Minister Banna Gupta has made a medical board to four doctors so that his condition can improve. These doctors will work together with the doctors of Medica Hospital for the treatment of the minister. Jaggarnath Mahto is being still provided 90 percent high flow oxygen.
