Descendant of Sidho-Kanhu to be treated in Delhi AIIMS, Health Min directs to make necessary arrangements

Ranchi: Health Minister Banna Gupta on Thursday directed the Civil Surgeon of Sahebganj to make necessary arrangements so that a descendant of great martyrs Sidho-Kanhu battling brain tuberculosis can be treated in AIIMS Delhi.

On Twitter, the health minister said that the entire cost of treatment of the descendant of great martyrs would be given by the state government. He said that in this case necessary instructions have been given to Sahebganj Civil Surgeon.

Earlier the matter was raised by JMM’s Jama MLA Sita Soren who had shared images of group of people who were collecting money for treatment of Chota Mandal Murmu who is a descendant of great martyrs Sidho-Kanhu and is battling brain tuberculosis. The MLA had said that it was unfortunate and also shameful that people are collecting money for his treatment.

She had urged the Chief Minister to take serious note of the incident.
