Jharkhand temples to open from Thursday

Ranchi, Oct 07 (IANS):  After a gap of nearly seven months, temples in Jharkhand will open for devotees from Thursday.
Jharkhand govt had issued the guideline for the opening of the temple on October 1. Jharkhand has allowed Durga Puja with restrictions.
The officials visited the important temples of the state and issued guideline for the devotes. The Ramgarh district administration officials visited Maa Chhinamastika temple on Wednesday to review the preparation regarding reopening of temple for devotes.

Any devotes without mask will not be allowed to entre into temple. The devotes have to keep sanitisers in their hands. In Garbh Grih only five people will be allowed for darshan.   The temple will be opened after morning prayer and Aarti done by the priests. In temple premises maximum 100 people will be allowed and 150 people will be allowed in Queue complex.
In Shiva temple devotees will not be allowed to touch the Shiva Linga. The devotes will offer water on Shiva from distance through Argha system.
The Shiva temple of Deoghar has been opened earlier at directive of Supreme Court. Only 100 devotes from Jharkhand are allowed to perform prayer in Deoghar Shiva temple which one of the 12 Jyotirlinga.
Durga puja will be organised with restrictions in the state.
The state govt guideline says that Durga Puja may also be performed in a specially selected small Pandal where it has been done traditionally only with the objective of performance of rituals without public participation for which the Puja pandals shall be covered on all sides in a way to prevent any public view of the idols, moreover these pandals would not be constructed on any themes.
 The idol will not be more than four feet.   The order further said that there shall be no decoration by lighting in the area around the Puja pandal nor welcome gates or Toran Dwar shall be erected in and around the Puja pandals and barring the area where the idol is placed rest of the Puja pandal shall be open to air. The order clearly said that the size of the idols shall be less than 4 feet and there shall be no use of public address system and nowhere on Mela shall be organised on the occasion, no food stalls shall be opened in and around the Durga Puja pandal.
There will be no Ravan dhan this year. There will be no musical or entertainment cultural program and no Bhog distribution will take place this year during Durga Puja. Face mask will be mandatory. There will no more than seen people in the Puja pandal.
