Girls from Jharkhand will make a separate identity for themselves in health sector soon: Chief Minister

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Wednesday exuded confidence that soon girls from the state would make a separate name for themselves in the area of healthcare.

Addressing a function after distributing appointment letters among girls who had completed their nursing from Chanho nursing college which is jointly run by Prejha foundation he said that it was a matter of great satisfaction that the girls would play an important role in the healthcare sector not only in the state but also in other parts of the country. He said that apart from Chanho the girls are going through nursing training in Chaibasa, Saraikela and Sahebganj and soon they would be also standing on their feet.

He also lauded the works being done in the area of healthcare by Prejha foundation. He said that amid the Coronavirus crisis the foundation has helped to set up a world-class laboratory and apart from providing employment to the youth as well as their employment. He appreciated the role of a private sector bank in the training of the girls.

Minister for SC/ST Minorities and Backward Section welfare Champai Soren said that it was a matter of great satisfaction that the training of the girls have been completed. He said that in different districts the training programme was still on and said that it was a noble gesture to make the girls hailing from poor families stand on their feet.

Labour Minister Satyanand Bhokta, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Rajeev Arun Ekka and others were also present on the occasion. A total of 111 girls who have completed their training from the college have got jobs in hospitals located in Pune, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi and Jharkhand.

60 of these nurses would be joining the Apollo Group, 31 in Nine cloud Hospital, 20 in Medanta etc.
