MET predicts rains from Sep 18-22

Ranchi: As per the MET department the state is likely to witness another spell of showers from September 18-22.

For the last few days, the temperature has been on a rise in the state with many districts reporting more than average maximum temperatures. Further people are facing a tough time battling the heat and hot and humid conditions due to which the crowd on the roads has also reduced.

However, the prediction of the weatherman is likely to bring some respite to the people from  Friday onwards rains have been predicted.  The weatherman has predicted rainfall and thunderstorms in the Santhal Pargana and North Chottanagpur division. Till September 22 many places are likely to witness thundering and lightning coupled with rainfall.

In the last 24 hours, Monsoon has remained weak in the state with few places recording light to medium range of rainfall. Maximum rainfall of 63 mm has been recorded in Satgawan of Koderma district. Ranchi was coolest at 23.9 degrees while Jamshedpur was hottest at 35 degrees.
