Government has chalked out plans for all round development of Jharkhand: Hemant Soren

Dumka: Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that his government was committed for all-round development of Jharkhand for which it has already framed up plans and soon development schemes would be implemented on the ground.

Addressing the people after laying foundation stones and inaugurating schemes at the indoor stadium here he said that during the last two days schemes and projects worth more than Rs 133.58 crore have been inaugurated or their foundation has been laid and going forward the government will continue to push up the development process.

He said that Corona and subsequent lockdown destroyed the economy as a result of which factories, shops and business establishments were closed and lakhs became unemployed. He said that Jharkhand too did not remain untouched but after unlock started the government has started taking steps to overcome the challenges and is working to build a new Jharkhand and its results would be visible soon.

The Chief Minister said that Jharkhand was a backward state where a large population is a daily wage earner and they were worst hit due to Coronavirus, therefore the state government started three new schemes under Mnrega and even schemes have been started to provide employment in the urban areas. Further he said that to ensure that no one died or hunger amid Corona from panchayat level to police stations public toilets were started and even arrangements for food was made in the highways.

Hemant Soren said that when the Corona crisis started workers of Jharkhand were removed from jobs and his government brought them back through trains and flights and these migrant workers are being linked with jobs. He said that Jharkhand set an example before the country by bringing back its workers from far flung places.

He said that there are thousands of vacant posts in government departments and the process has commenced to fill them up. Further, he said that works of JPSC and JSSC are being examined so that the recruitment process can be done in an honest and transparent manner.

In the programme which was organised at the indoor stadium, foundation stones were laid and inauguration was done for 40 schemes worth a total of Rs 96.97 crore.
