Ranchi: On Wednesday also the anti-encroachment drive continued in the city.
During the day from Kutchury Chowk to Main Road, the encroachment was removed. Due to ongoing drive, the people did not set up their shops on the footpath but vehicles parked in no parking zone were seized by the team.
The enforcement team took away many bikes and other two-wheelers in a truck. The municipal corporation has warned of strict action if banners and posters including hoardings are put up in government property.
During the drive, fine was also collected from dozens of people. The shop keepers who put up their stalls on the footpath have been warned not to put up goods outside the white marking or their goods would be seized and fir would be also registered against them.
The special drive of the RMC in the city would continue till September 6.
