Union Coal Secretary reaches Dhanbad visits underground fire hit areas

Dhanbad, Jul 7: Union Coal Secretary Sushil Kumar alongwith Jharkhand
Chief Secretary Rajbala Verma reached Dhanbad during which they
visited the areas hit with underground fire.

After reaching the Barwadda airport the officials headed to Belgadai
where they interacted with the displaced and also inspected their
quarters and also inquired into the facilities that are provided to
them. They also visited Gokul Dham Park under North Tisra of BCCL area
number 10 and witnessed the excavation work.

Later they headed to Dhanuadih of Jharia where they interacted with
the people and sought to know their problems and urged them to
cooperate in rehabilitation work. The officials directed Dhanbad DC A
Dode to shift the people quickly from the underground fire hit areas.

Over the question surrounding the shifting of RSP college they said
that compromise can not be made with the future of the children.
The official also chaired a meeting with the senior officials of the
BCCL and that of the district administration at the Koyla Bhawan here
where they reviewed the work being done for the resettlement of the
displaced and directed to speed up work in this regard.

Those present in the meeting also included BCCL CMD (care taker role)
Gopal Singh, DC and SP of Dhanbad.
