Ranchi: For the first time since the creation of the stage the Independence Day event would not be organised at the historic Morhabadi Grounds of the state capital.
It has been decided that this time the function would be held either in the Birsa Munda Football Stadium of JAP Grounds in Doranda with a very limited audience and even in that social distancing would be followed.
DC Chhavi Ranjan and SSP Surendra Kumar Jha visited both the venues on Saturday and decided to finalise the venue later, however it is being widely expected that the event would be held at the Birsa Munda Football Stadium as it has a sufficient number of seats where guests can be accommodated along with following social distancing.
After reviewing the spots the officials asked the concerned officers to prepare a report in this regard so that an analysis can be made and the same can be sent to the state government for taking further action.
