Hemant demands Ragubar’s resignation

Ranchi, Jul 3: Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition in
Jharkhand Assembly Hemant Soren has demanded the resignation of Chief
Minister Raghubar Das and has asked the BJP to seek a public apology
from the people of the state.

He said that the Chief Minister is now stating that the government
would withdraw the proposals amending article 21 of CNT and 13 of the
SPT Act while on the other hand he says that the opposition has
mislead the people which shows that he is not inclined to accept the
decision of the governor. The JMM leader questioned that if opposition
was spreading misleading facts than why the governor returned the
amendment bill.

He said that the action of the governor shows that JMM had raised the
right issues. Mr Soren said that the Chief Minister is saying that
discussion would be held on the next meet of the TAC regarding the
objections raised by social and political organisation but he has kept
mum whether when the issue would be brought in the assembly for
discussion.

Mr Soren said that the CM is now searching for the assembly but had he
been honest and transparent than in a hushed manner the ordinance
would not have been brought and forcibly the bill passed in the hosue.
He alleged that as part of misuse of the peoples money helicopters
were used to distribute pamphlets while cabinet ministers and MLAs
also voiced their opinions in favour of the bill.
