Registration of hospitals not treating coronavirus patients will be cancelled: Health Minister

Jamshedpur: Health Minister Banna Gupta said that such private hospitals who are denying treatment to coronavirus patients their registrations would be cancelled.

The Minister chaired a high-level review meeting over the situation prevailing in Kolhan Division during which he said that a temporary hospital having a capacity of 3,000 beds would be set up in Jamshedpur while there would be arrangements of 700 beds in JRD Hospital.

The minister said that Medica Hospital will not be allowed to be closed and till Coronavirus is prevailing it would be used as a Covid Hospital. He said that since serious patients are coming from other states therefore there was lack of beds in the hospital and also the mortality rate was increasing.

Gupta issued an appeal to the various clubs to help the Coronavirus patients. He said that the government was also considering to provide incentives or economic benefits to Corona warriors.

However, on the lockdown he said that Chief Minister Hemant Soren would take a call over it as a report has been sought from all the DCs.

Earlier in the meeting which was held at the circuit house apart from DC and SSP of East Singhbhum, Civil Surgeons of East and West Singhbhum and Saraikela were also present.
