EID celebrated across Jharkhand, Raghubar celebrates the festival in Jamshedpur

Ranchi, Jun 26: The festival of Eid-Ul-Fitr was celebrated across the state with traditional fervour and gaiety.

Special Namaz was offered across the mosques and Idgahs of the state. In the state capital Ranchi elaborate security arrangements had been made, even the traffic police diverted the routes to make sure that the people do not have any problems while offering the Namaz.

 

The Ranchi district police deployeed more than 2,000 policemen while since last night police teams were posted at prominents spots of the capital. The police had issued an appeal to the people to celebrate the festival in peace and harmony.

 

People in large numbers in MG Road, Doranda, Kanta Toli, Bariyatu and Kanke Areas visited their local mosques and offered the Namaz after which they feasted upon ‘sewiyans’ and ‘biryani’. People also visited the homes of their relatives and friends and extended greetings and pleasantries on the festival.

Meanwhile Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu and Chief Minister Raghubar Das have extended greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of EID. The leaders in their message hoped that the festival may bring in peace and prosperity in the state. They urged the people to make joint efforts for the development of the state.

 

Chief Minister Raghubar Das who was in Jamshedpur during  the festival visited Bhalubasha and extended the people greetings on the occasion of EID. Former Chief Minister Arjun Munda too participated in the festival in Jamshedpur and extended his greetings to the people.
