Ranchi: Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said that under difficult circumstances also the tribal community has played their role in making the country Aatm Nirbhar.
Addressing the Jansamwad rally of ST Morcha of Jharkhand BJP he said that the tribal community is known for its separate identity, culture, dress and rituals. Moreover, the members of the community are full of nationalism, he said adding that the community is ready to sacrifice their all if they are given due respect and honour but they are also ready to go to any extent to prevent any attack on their culture, tradition and beliefs.
Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda said that despite many decades into the Independence of the nation the voices of the tribals had gone unheard and it was former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee who understood their feelings and created three different states, moreover he was the man who made a separate tribal welfare ministry.
Munda said that in order to save their culture and traditions the tribals also needed to strike a balance between modern parameters of development. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi the department was working for the betterment of the community.
