Hindu groups took out procession in main road amid heavy security arrangements

Ranchi, Jun 7: Following a series of communal clashes in separate areas of Ranchi district the state police headquarters made heavy police deployment at the MG Road here while the Hindu outfits took out a procession on the occasion of 350th birth anniversary of Shivaji Maharaj and celebrated the day as Hindu Samrajya Diwas.

 

The procession was taken out from Jaipal Singh Stadium here which later reached the Hanuman Mandir located at the main road where the activists read out Hanuman Chalisa amid the heavy down pour.

 

Due to the procession the entire main road wore a tense look and to prevent any untoward incident heavy police deployment was made and large number of the jawans were stationed at prominent chowks including the temple, main road and ekra masjid. Police headquarters had deployed the jawans of JAP, RAF and district police.

Thousands of youth raising religious slogans and playing devotional  songs participated in the procession. A group of youth on bikes also accompanied the procession.

SDO Bhor Singh Yadav, ADM Law and Order Girija Shankar and City SP Aman Kumar were camping on the spot during the procession.
