57.9 % passed in 10 th, 52.35% in Inter Science and 60.09 % commerce students passed in Jharkhand

Ranchi, May 30: The Jharkhand Board announced the results for class 10th and 12th  (science and commerce) at the JAC headquarters here in which 57.9 pc students in class 10th and 52.36 pc in Inter Science and 60.09 pc in Inter Commerce passed out.

The results were declared by HRD Minister Neera Yadav here. Among the districts the East Singhbhum bagged the first position among the districts for class 10th results an was followed by Ranchi at second while Latehar fared badly. Out of the total students who passed the exams in class 10th  14, 722 students passed in first division, while 30,424 in second and another 2,430 in third division. A total of 4.66 lakh students had appeared in class 10th exams while those appearing in Science was 91,957 and in Commerce 47,923.

Those present on the occasion also included HRD Secretary Aradhana Patnaik, JAC  president Anand Bhushan and Middle School Education Director Chandrashekhar. The results for Arts would be announced in the month of June.

The JAC made 20 evaluation centers for examining the copies of class 10th while in separate districts of the state a total of 16 evaluation centers were made to check the copies of intermediate.

Jharkhand Govt inks pact with Gujarat Venture Fund Ltd for startups

Ranchi, May 30: The Jharkhand Government has inked an MoU with Gujrat Venture Fund Ltd to link the youth with startups and also encourage them to launch innovative ventures.

The MoU was inked by Industries Secretary Sunil Kumar Barnwal and CEO Sanjay Radhan of the Gujrat based company in presence of Chief Minister Raghubar Das. Speaking on the occasion Raghubar Das said that the present era belonged to IT and knowledge. He said that youth had new ideas based on which Prime Minister Modi had seen the dream of Start Up India and to realize this dream the stat egovernment has framed the start up policy. He said that the youth should use their innovative ideas to take the state and country forward.
