Committed to provide a corruption free and answerable administration: Raghubar

Ranchi, May 16: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that his government was committed to provide a corruption free and answerable administration to the people of the state.

Addressing the people after inaugurating the new building of the Lok Aayukt’s office here he  said that the state government has adopted a zero tolerance policy towards corruption and is committed to provide quick justice to the people as part of which the new office of the Lok Aayukt has been built so that infarstructure is available for addressal of grivances. He said that many steps have been taken to reduce the corruption in government offices which are not bearing fruits.

He said that teh foundation for the new building was laid by the than Lok Aayukt Justice Amreshwar Sahai in May 2015 and it is ready in two years. He said that to get rid of corruption Justice D N Upadhayay was made the Lok Aayukt. He said that the Lok Adalat was also performing better and cases are being solved. He said that in three months 450 cases have been solved by justice Upadhyay which showcased his working capacity.

The Chief Minister said that it was due to the legislature, executive and judiciary India was a proud democratic country. He asked the people to obey the laws as a responsible citizen. He said that the state government was working with clear cut policies in which the people should also extend their cooperation.

Speaking on the occasion Justice Upadhyay said that he was working for removing the corruption from the state. He also appreciated the fact that the state government has assured full cooperation to the Lok Aayukt’s office.

Those present included Principal Secretary Personnel and Administrative REforms Nidhi Khare and Secretary Building Construction K K Soan.
