Jharkhand Government committed for all round development LWE blocks & villages

Simdega, Apr 28: Jharkhand Chief Secretary Rajbala Verma said that the
state government under the 13 focus plan was committed for the
development of the blocks and the villages falling under LWE areas.
Chairing a review meeting in Mahabuang Police Station premises she
said that the state government has prepared a 30 point working plans
for the development of LWE rural areas under which the people are
being trained to undertake self employment.
The Chief Secretary directed all the officials to undertake work at
the villages as per specific task and also ensure empowerment of the
women and create awareness by the means of the women sakhi mandals so
that the process of development can be moved up. She said that 21
e-pos machines be handed over to the pds shops and foure new license
be given to the sakhi mandals. She said that for further empowerment
of the women the sakhi mndals would be provided with revolving funds
along with bank linkages and micro enterprises. So far 236 sakhi
mandals have been provided with revolving fund and bank linkage.
During the review meeting it was found that out of 7000 acres of
agriculture land in the area 900 was vacant which can be utilised for
agriculture purpouses. She said that by the means of ARYA seeds,
fertilisers and other farming equipments would be provided for which a
group of 30 youths would be formed and 400 ponds for agriculture be
built. It was informed that under social security schemes 185 widow
and 367 old age pensions have been approved. The Chief Secretary
directed that as per scheduled health check camps should be conducted
at the villages and also at Kasturba Gandhi Schools.
