Children are the future of the country: Murmu

Ranchi, Apr 27:  Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu today said that children are the future of the country and it is on their shoulder the responsibility of taking the society forward rests.

 

Addressing the children during her visit to Kasturba Gandhi Balika Aawasiya Vidyalay Silli she said that the purposue of her visit was to encourage the children. She also wants to know how they live and whether the get the facilities or not and also look at the educational environment in their schools.

She said that the society in which women are at the forefront the same society moves forward. Ms Murmu said that the education of the girls can not be ignored as half of the population in the country belongs to them. The governor asked the children to listen to their parents and teachers and with the help of the teachers achieve success.

 

She asked the teacher to carry out their responsibility and said that they should not be negligent in their work. Later she visited the Birsa Munda Archery Academy and said that the children from Jharkhand are rich in sporting talent. She said that in the field of archery the children from Jharkhand had brought laurels at the national and international level.

 

Jharkhand is known for sports icons like Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Deepika Kumari. She said that the academy would always be scouting for archery talents so that one day student from this academy can bag Olympic gold in archery.
