Raghubar Das has fulfilled his promise says President Pranab Mukherjee

Ranchi, Apr 2: President Pranab Mukherjee heaped praise on Jharkhand
Chief Miniser Raghubar Das by stating that he had fulfilled his
promise made during the Bang Sammelan in which he had promised
construction of Rabindra Bhawan in Ranchi in the honour of Gurudev
Rabinda Nath Tagore and promoting the arts and culture of the
community.
Addressing the people after laying foundation stone for Haj House and
Ravindra Bhawan via online at the Town Hall here he said that the
Chief Minister fulfilled his promise for which he needed to be
congratulated.
The president said that Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha were part of West
Bengal due to which there are similarities between the culture of
these states. He said that Gurudev worked as an ambassador of the
country and use to spread the art and culture of the country in the
foreign nations. He said that on his 150th birth anniversary the than
government had announced that in every state capital a Rabindra Bhawan
would be set up and the same was being fulfilled in the state.

 
Elaborating about the highlights of the Hja House he said that from
across the world the maximum people from India go for Haj and once the
Haj House is constructed in Ranchi than many facilities would be made
available to those who would be going on Haj. On the occasion the
President in a light note also sought forgiveness for the people for
his mistakes in speaking Hindi.
Speaking on the occasion Governor Draupadi Murmu said that the state
was moving ahead on the path of progress and after the successful of
Momentum Jharkhand summit the doors for investment have been opened in
the state and people have got an opportunity for employment and
economic prosperity. The governor also expressed her delight on
foundation stone for building the Haj House and urged the government
to make sure that the Haj House was completed on time.
She said that the Rabindra Bhawan which is to be built in the honour
of Rabindranath Tagore be completed on time so that art lovers can get
a platform. She said that Jharkhand was a confluence of many arts and
culture and to further promote them the Rabindra Bhawan is being
constructed and would symbolize State of Art building.
Addressing the function Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that the day
was a momentous one for Jharkhand as during the period of Chaitar
Navratra and Chaitra Chhath foundation is being laid for two important
buildings including Rabindra Bhawan and the Haj House by the honourable
president of India. He said that the state government was taking all
such steps which was need to fulfil the aspirations of the people and
in these efforts the Central Government was also extending its full
cooperation. He said that the state government was working on the
motto of Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas.
Mr Das said that the culture was a treasure which needed to preserved
for which the state government was making efforts and the foundation
laying for the Haj House and Rabindra Bhawan are part of such
initiatives. He said that the government did not want to appease a
particular community but wanted development of all. To ensure that all
the people get skilled apart from skill development schemes various
developmental schemes are being launched. Work is also on to provide
all the basic amenities to the people of the state.

 
The Chief Minister extended his congratulation to the President on the
behalf of the people of the state and said that he would be also
inaugurating the software park in Deoghar along with driver training
institute in that district and street light power by solar energy
which would run from Deoghat to Basukinath.
Mr Das said that the government was working to skill the youth of the
state under Pradhan Mnatri Kasuhal Vikas Yojana. He said that the
state was rich but the people of Jharkhand were poor and the state
government was trying to improve the basic infrastructure in the state
and was working with the motto of development of all.
Speaking on the occasion the Urban Development Minister of Jharkhand C
P Singh said that it was a very momentous occasion for the state that
two important buildings have been laid by the President. He said that
under the dynamic leadership of the Chief Minister the state was
working on development and under the Pradhan Mantri Aawas Yojana work
was being done to give houses to all the homeless.  He assured that
the Ravindra Bhawan and Haj House would be completed on time and no
compromise would be made on the quality of construction. He said that
under the skill development mission 54,000 youth were being given
training under various schemes out of which recruitment has been
provided to 6,700 youth.
Both the buildings would be constructed within 24 months with an
investment of Rs 155 crore. Among those who were also present on the
occasion included MPs Ramtahal Chowdhary and Mahesh Poddar, Ranchi
Mayor  Asha Lakra, Chief Secretary Rajbala Verma and officials of
various other departments.
