Chief Secretary instructs DC and SP to ensure full proof security during Ramnavmi

Ranchi, Apr 1: Jharkhand Chief Secretary Rajbala Verma has directed
all the DC/SSPs and the SPs to  ensure full proof security during
the festival of Ramnavmi.
She has asked the officials to ensure accountability and
responsibility at the local police station level to maintain peace and
order in the area. She also asked to construct check posts at the
police station levels to check the vehicles. Ms Verma said that all
arrangements should be put in place so that the festival of Ramnavmi
is concluded peacefully. She said that no way any lackadaisical
approach would be tolerated.
Ms Verma directed that at all the district level control rom should be
made active and it should be ensured that all the control rooms have
the numbes of Akhara sponsors. She directed that a meeting be held
with Akhara sponsors so that law and order can be maintained and also
said to hold meeting with the Mohalla Samiti and members of Shanti
Samiti and apprise them what to be done in an emergency situation.
She said that all information regarding the law and order should be
sent to the state headquarters. She also asked to put up a board for
dos and don’ts. She also directed that district action be taken against
people who have been accused of involvement in communal rights and
chargesheet should be filed against anti-social elements and people
with criminal background. She said that at no cost liquor should be
sold during the festival.
Ms Verma said that the control room should be functional and additional
police forces and officials should be kept on the stand by. The CS
said that the procession should be carried out on the earlier defined
route and said that apart from barricading at sensitive locations
CCTVs should also be installed and drones should be deployed for aerial
monitoring. Ms Verma said that video recording should be conducted of
all Akharas and entire procession should be recorded. She said that
apart from other arrangements should be made for doctors, ambulance
and fire brigades during the festivities and also accord importance to
wireless message.
