Visit of Prime Minister will open new doors of development for the Santhal Pargana region: Raghubar

Dumka, Apr 1:  Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that the visit of
Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Sahibganj during which he would lay
foundation stone for building the Ganga bridge and a model terminal
would open new doors of the development for the Santhal Pargana
region.
He said that in wake of the visit of the Prime Minister last moment
touches are being given to preparations and even the people of the
area are excited and looking forward to his visit.
The Chief Minister talking to reporters said here that during the
Prime Minister’s visit the foundation of Ganga bridge would be laid
which would incur an investment of Rs 2,000 crore and apart from the
women of Dumka and Pakur district smart phones would be distributed
among the women of other 22 districts, while recruitment letters would
also be distributed among those who have been selected into the
Paharia battalion. He said that youth of Dumka and Pakur would be
given the appointment letters on some other day.
The Chief Minister said that once the bridge over Ganga is constructed
it would open new door of progress in the region and now the area
would be directly connected with Myanmar and Bangaldesh. He said that
in the course of the next two- three years Santhal Pargana would be
equal among other divisions of the state and social and economic
activities in the region.
The Chief Minister said that under the Dakiya Yojana packed food
grains would be provided in the homes of the Paharia primitive tribe.
With the launch of this scheme the role of middlemen and contractors
would be abolished. He said that the state government has decided to
provide pension to all age old people in the state without any
difference.
