Ranchi: The Jharkhand government today announced that the economically weak in the general category will be provided 10 per cent
reservation in government jobs and educational institutions of the state.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said that after Prime Minister Narendra Modi took the historic decision to provide 10 percent reservation to the economically weak in the general category the Jharkhand government too has decided to give the benefits to the people who fall under this section in government jobs and educational institutions of the state.
He said that in educational institutions and jobs in which the nomination process or the recruitment would commence from January 15 in all such cases the economically weak in the general category will be provided 10 percent reservation. This 10 percent reservation would be added from the reservation provided to the SC ST and OBC in the state.
