Shravani Mela: Mandatory for visitors to wear masks

Deoghar: The Health Department has also intensified its preparations regarding Shravani Mela as necessary medicines and medical supplies have been demanded by the department to provide health facilities in the fair.

The Health Department has a special focus on the prevention and vaccination of corona infection due to the organization of Shravani  Mela being held after two years. Civil Surgeon Dr CK Shahi said that a large number of devotees are expected to come this year therefore, it has been made mandatory to wear a mask in the fair area to protect against corona. Also, instructions have been given to follow social distancing.

There will be a system of Covid tests and vaccination at nine places in the fair area he added. A total of 29 health camps, permanent and temporary, will be conducted during the Shravani Mela. Diarrhea Response Team,

Accident Relief Medical Team, Team have been constituted for spraying bleaching powder and lime in the Mela area. Along with this, polio dose will be given at 20 places for the child of zero to five years. For this, Kothia Bus Stand, Dumma, Hathgarh Bus Stand, Jasidih and Deoghar Railway Station, BEd College, Mela Health Sub-Centre, Ghormara, Old Sadar Hospital, New Sadar Hospital, Deoghar will have Covid test and vaccination facilities.

On the other hand, ambulance will be arranged at 37 places including Sadar  Hospital, Baba Mandir, Dumma, Nawadih, Banka, Sarasani, Khizuria, Nandan Pahar, B.Ed College, Jasidih Station Q Complex, Barmasia Chowk, Bhurbhura Maidan, Kumaitha, Kothia, Route Line and Chalant, Diarrhea Response Team, Accident Relief Team and an ambulance will also be arranged in the Old Sadar Hospital premises.
