Ranchi: Political atmosphere is heating across the country in wake of the upcoming presidential election. The central leadership of the BJP has fielded former Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu as the candidate for the post of President. State BJP and AJSU Party have expressed happiness over her. At the same time, the JMM central leadership has not been able to put their views on her name so far.
Now the meeting of the JMM Central Committee will be held on June 25. Party’s central president Shibu Soren has called this meeting. The meeting will be held at his residence. In this, all the MLAs including the Chief Minister cum Working President of the party Hemant Soren will be present. In this regard, the party’s central general secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya said that this meeting has been called regarding the presidential election.
According to sources, a decision has to be taken in the meeting of JMM to clear its stand in the name of Draupadi Murmu or opposition candidate and former Union Minister Yashwant Sinha for the post of President.
