Cabinet Decisions: Jharkhand government to spend Rs 901 crore over petrol subsidy

Ranchi: The Jharkhand government has decided to give petrol subsidy for two wheelers to the ration card holders of the state, which is estimated to cost Rs 901.86 crore. The state cabinet has approved this proposal of the food department. A total of 51 proposals were approved in the cabinet meeting which was chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

An amount of Rs 100.39 crore has been released from Jharkhand Contingency Fund for the current financial year. After about one and a half months, a total of 51 proposals were approved in a state cabinet meeting. The Assistant Teacher Service Condition Manual made for para teachers is also among the proposals passed. It has been decided to give an increase in honorarium, medical leave, compassionate benefit to eligible beneficiaries to para teachers in the state, whose number is currently 62896. Similarly, in 136 residential schools of the Welfare Department, it has been decided to give mobile tabs to more than 21 thousand students and Rs 26 crore will be spent on this.

The state government has appointed Chhattisgarh State Marketing Corporation Limited as an advisor to the excise department, which will give its advice to the government to increase the excise revenue in the state. The state cabinet has given permission to create 31 new posts in Raksha Shakti University. For the widening and strengthening of a dozen roads from Ranchi to Dumka, administrative approval has been given to schemes worth more than Rs 1000 crore.

The state government has also approved the proposal of the Department of School Education and Literacy, according to which the government’s schemes will be publicized on the main page of the copy of students from class 1 to 12 May and the students will be told its benefits.
