Guv and CM pay tributes to first president Rajendra Prasad and Paramveer Albert Ekka

Ranchi: Jharkhand Governor Ramesh Bais and Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Friday paid tributes to nation’s first President Rajendra Prasad on his Jayanti and Paramveer Albert Ekka on his martyrdom anniversary.

The leaders reached at Rajendra Chowk of the capital and paid floral tributes at the statue of Bharat Ratna late Dr Rajendra Prasad. The duo also paid their tributes to Paramveer Albert Ekka at the Albert Ekka Chowk of the capital by garlanding his statue on the occasion of his 50th martyrdom anniversary.

Albert Ekka was martyred in Indo-Pak war of 1971. He was awarded the highest gallantry award the Paramveer Chakra(Posthumously) for his heroics in the war.
