JAC 10th board results: 59.48 per cent students pass, overall results dips by 8 pc

Ranchi, Jun 12: The Jharkhand Academic Council declared the results for the class 10th (matriculation) examination in which over all 59.48 per cent students have passed.

 

Among the districts Hazaribagh had managed to bag the first position with overall pass per centage of 74.75 percent while Ranchi with 72.93 per cent and East Singbhum with  68.23 per cent managed to bag the second the third position respectively. Latehar was the worst performer district as the overall pass percentage was just 38.19 per cent when compared to the previous year this year the results have declined overall by 8 per cent.

 

This year a total of 4,28,389 students had appeared in the exams out of which only 2,54,830 have managed to pass while in the previous year 4,63,311 students had appeared out of which 3,14,287 students had passed and the over all pass per centage for the previous year was 67.83 per cent.

 

1,28, 956 boys (61.79 per cent) boys have cleared the examination successfully, while 1,25,878 girls have passed securing a pass percentage of 57.29. This year, 1,01,020 students secured first division,1,18,046 students secured second division, while 35,764 students  got third division.

The exams were conducted for Class 10th from March 8 to March 21 this year.
