Ranchi: Clear skies almost all across the state is signalling the onset of the winter season with people feeling the chill in the morning and the evening.
According to the Meteorological Department, there will be a continuous drop in the morning and evening temperatures which will increase the cold in the morning and evening.
The minimum temperature in the city is expected to drop by three degrees Celsius in the next three days. Along with this, dew at night and light fog and mist will be seen in the morning.
As per the predictions of the weather department, the expected rainfall in the state between October 1 and October 21 is on an average 61.4 mm, while 109.1 mm of rain has been recorded during this period. The highest rainfall in the state was recorded in West Singhbhum which was 234 percent higher during this period. On the other hand, Deoghar recorded 211 percent, Giridih 131 percent, Koderma 124 percent, Ramgarh 133 percent, Bokaro 112 percent and Dhanbad 105 percent more rain. At the same time, light to moderate rain was recorded at many places in the state during the last 24 hours. While heavy rain was recorded at one or two places.
The highest rainfall in the state was recorded at Khushiyari in Dumka at 130.2 mm while 118 mm of rain was recorded in Sahebganj. The highest maximum temperature in the state was recorded in Garhwa at 34.3 degree celsius. The lowest temperature in the state was recorded at 21 degrees celsius in Chaibasa.
