Strike ends in RIMS after Raghubar takes tough stand

Ranchi, Jun 3: The strike of Nurses and junior doctors ended following between Health Minister, Chief secretary and striking nurses on Sunday evening.

 

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das  urged the striking health workers at the state run largest government hospital the Rajendra Institute of Medical Science to call off their strike and return back to work.
In a strict warning he said that anarchy will not be allowed at RIMS. He said that all the people have

right to air their grievances but at thr right forum. He has directed the Health Minister Ramchandra Chandravanshi and Chief Secretary Sudhir Tripathi to hold dialogue with the agitators and make sure that the strike is called off as early as possible.
The instruction from the Chief     Minister followed as on Friday as the family members of a patient admitted in the medicine ward of RIM beatup the nurses and the intern doctors after the death of their patient

alleging negligence on part of the treating staff.
The nurses later went off to strike and were soon joined by the inter doctors, junior doctors and para medical staff of the hospital. The strike has completely paralysed the health care at the hospital and has so far resulted in death of more than 12 people who were denied even entry in the emergency by the agitating nurses.
