Bishunpur May 28: Union Minister for Textiles Smriti Irani said that within a month foundation will be laid for NIFT in Jharkhand.
Addressing the Yuva Samagam here she said that the central government in collaboration with the state government has created jobs for 20000 youth in the garment sector. She said that after coming to power Prime Minister Narendra Modi thought about the empowerment of the children of the poor and to make them stand on their feet.
She said that it was due to the schemes of the central government that 31 crore bank accounts were opened under the Jan Dhan Yojana in which the poor deposited Rs 80000 crore. She said that Mudra loan was also benefiting the people and so far 12 crore people have taken advantage of the scheme which included 70 pc women. She said that the central government was working with the youth of the nation as it gives the inspiration and energy to work for all the sections of the society.
The event was also attended by Union Minister’s Sudarshan Bhagat and Giriraj Singh apart from many MLAs and Padamshri Ashok Bhagat among others. During the functi9n appointment letters were also distributed among 10 youth who had completed their skill development training while cheques worth Rs 50000 to Rs 1 lakh was distributed among the committee which are working better in the area of honey cultivation in the state.
