Karma Festival: In Jharkhand walking is dance, speaking is like song says CM

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren participated in the Karma festival at tribal hostel complex located at Ranchi Women’s College (Science Block) Speaking on the occasion the Chief Minister said that this festival is a symbol of keeping alive the rich tradition, civilization and culture intact. He called upon the people to take a pledge to further strengthen civilization and culture through this festival.

He said that Karma is not just a festival, but it also gives many messages. He said that this festival shows the unbreakable attachment of human life to nature and explains the harmony between human civilization and nature for centuries.

The Chief Minister said that walking is dance and speaking is the anthem in Jharkhand and Karma festival is the hallmark of this. The Chief Minister said that the whole world is facing the Corona pandemic for almost one and a half years and because of this the whole system got disturbed and Jharkhand was also not untouched by this, but with the cooperation and strength of the people the state government has been able to control the corona.

He said that the steps taken by the government to control corona in Jharkhand became an example for the whole world. Now moving ahead from this global pandemic the government is working towards accelerating development.

Earlier, the Chief Minister was accorded a traditional welcome by the Karma Parab Organizing Committee. The Chief Minister worshipped Karam Raja. During this, when the Chief Minister thumped the Mandar the steps of the students danced to its tunes. In the function, the Chief Minister was presented with medicinal plants by the organizers.
