Three Maoists killed in War of supremacy

Daltonganj, Mar 24:In a war of supremacy among the Maoists outfits
active in the region three ultras belonging to the CPI (Maoists)
including the area commander Ajay Yadav who was carrying a bounty of
Rs 10 lakh on his head was killed at Situchua under Mohammedganj
Police Station area of the Palamu district.
Two other dead Maoists have beenĀ  identified as Surendra Yadav and
Dhirendra Yadav while another injured ultra Uday Oraon was arrested by
the police.
Police sources said that in early morning of Friday police got news
about this clash following which a large contingent of district police
and CRPF personnel reached on the spot. They found that a war had
taken place between CPI (Maoists) and the Tritiya Prastuti Committee
(TPC) in which zonal commander of the Maoists Ajay Yadav alongwith two
other associates was killed. Another injured Maoists was captured from
the spot by the police. A total of six arms including an AK-47 have
been recovered from the spot. Palamu Range DIG Vipul Shukla and Palamu
SP Inderjeet Mahtha also visisted the spot.
Zonal commander of the Maoists Ajay Yadav was a resident of Gauriota
village under Hussainabad Police Station area of this district. He was
the younger brother of another dreaded maoist Amrity Yadav who was
killed in an encounter with police in Mananpur of Chattarpur almost a
decade ago.
Ajay Yadav soon rose to the rank of a zonal commander from being an
ultra. More than a dozen cases are registered against him in different
police station area of this district. He was also the main accused in
Kala-Pahar landmine blast case in which 7 policement were killed. His
area of influence was spread across Hussainabad, Hiadernagaer,
Mohammedganj, Harihurganj, Pandeu, Chattarpur and Vishrampur.
Upon receiving the information ADG (Operations) R K Mallik and CRPF
DIG Jayant Kumar Pal from Ranchi reached Mohammedgunj and visited the
incident spot.
